Overview
Publish Helper (“we”, “our”, “the tool”) is a free web application that helps content editors clean HTML from Google Docs and generate SEO-friendly URL slugs. Most features run entirely in your browser. Some features, such as the AI-powered slug generator, involve server-side processing via a third-party AI service. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Data We Collect
We do not collect, store, or retain any personal data. How your content is handled depends on the feature you use:
- HTML cleanup features (paste cleanup, heading conversion, find & replace): processed entirely in your browser. No data is sent to any server.
- AI Slug Generator: when you use this feature, the title text you enter is sent to our server, which forwards it to a third-party AI service (Alibaba Cloud / DashScope) to generate a URL slug. We do not store or log these requests. The title text is not retained after processing.
- We do not require user accounts or registration.
- We do not use analytics or tracking scripts of our own.
Third-Party Services
The following third-party services are used by Publish Helper:
- AI Language Model (Alibaba Cloud / DashScope): The AI Slug Generator sends the title text you submit to Alibaba Cloud's DashScope API to generate SEO-friendly URL slugs. Only the title text you explicitly submit is transmitted — no other editor content is sent. We do not store the requests sent or the responses received. Alibaba Cloud's privacy policy applies to their processing of this data.
- Google AdSense: We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google uses the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on your browsing history. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google Fonts. When you visit our site, your browser connects to Google's servers to download font files. Google may log this request.
Cookies
Publish Helper itself does not set any cookies. However, Google AdSense may set cookies on your device for advertising purposes. You can manage cookie preferences through our cookie consent banner or your browser settings. We store your cookie consent preference in your browser's local storage (not as a cookie) so we can remember your choice.
Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. For data collected by Google AdSense, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
This tool is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
